Cambrian Vision System is a system that combines robotics and artificial intelligence to streamline numerous processes on production lines and simplify the use of robotics within them.

What Makes Cambrian Vision Special?

  • Wide Range of Parts: Cambrian Vision can select a wide variety of parts, including transparent, plastic, shiny metal, etc.

  • Resistance to Changing Lighting Conditions: Cambrian Vision can select a wide variety of parts, including transparent, plastic, shiny metal, etc.

  • Speed: Prediction time is approximately 0.2 seconds. With a high-speed industrial robot, cycle times of 2–3 seconds can be achieved in a bin-picking setup.

  • Accuracy: Cambrian Vision can select and identify parts with sub-millimeter accuracy.

Applications

Bin Picking

Cambrian Vision can be used for various bin-picking applications. The software handles collision avoidance with the bin, selection of the parts to be picked, and the nature of their pickup. Typical pick-and-place cycle times range between 2–8 seconds, depending on the robot and application.

Kitting

Cambrian Vision can easily be used for preparing assembly kits and other kitting applications. Typical applications include warehouse management and organization, assembly processes, and sorting on production lines.

Cable Assembly

Cambrian Vision is well-suited for cable assembly applications, pin insertion into connectors, and handling various cables.
